The Sidney softball and baseball teams split Corner Conference games Monday, June 8, at Stanton.
The Cowgirls scored eight runs over the first two innings as part of a 13-6 win over the Viqueens to earn their first victory of the season. Stanton won the baseball game 11-3, scoring all 11 runs in the sixth inning after the two starting pitchers, Nolan Case for Stanton and Gabe Blanton for Sidney finished with 13 strikeouts each.
