Shenandoah senior Nichole Gilbert has been named third team all-state in Class 3A by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.

The IGCA released its all-state teams in all five classes Thursday, Aug. 13, with three teams selected in each class.

Gilbert hit .540 with 17 runs scored and 19 RBIs while helping lead the Fillies to a 12-6 summer season.

Seven of her 34 hits went for extra bases. She also walked 13 times. She played shortstop for the Fillies and ended the year with an .882 fielding percentage
