Events April 22-28 JJ Martin Shenandoah, Junior Golf Martin posted a 4-under par 31, including an eagle on the Par 4 fourth hole Tuesday, April 28, leading the Mustangs to a home win over Glenwood. Martin added a third-place score of 75 in helping the Mustangs win the Sidney Tournament Wednesday, April 22. After Tuesday’s 31, Martin was ranked in the top 25 in Class 2A scoring average. Smith won his singles match by an 8-4 score and teamed up with Creighton Bird for an 8-3 win in doubles. Smith continues to be a senior leader for a Cardinal team that owned a 4-3 dual record after beating Atlantic. His finishing time of 1:02.09 was nearly five seconds better than the field. He currently leads the state in all four wheelchair racing events with a goal of building on last season’s three state championships.
