Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds issued a disaster proclamation on Monday in response to the collapsed building.
The collapse of The Davenport resulted in numerous lawsuits, including wrongful death suits filed on behalf of the estates of building tenants Branden Colvin, Daniel Prien and Ryan Hitchcock.
The suit accuses Davenport Hotel LLC of failing to maintain the building in a reasonably safe condition and failing to warn residents of structural concerns associated with the building.
