Weston Primitives has opened a warehouse at 915 West Ferguson Road in Shenandoah.
The facility offers industrial furniture, primitive goods, handmade jewelry, industrial lighting, antiques, and collectibles.
“You name it, it’s here,” said co-owner Kindra Weston.
Kindra and her husband, Michael said they started selling stuff when they were 19 and 20-years old while in undergraduate studies as a form of extra income. Over the years it has slowly evolved into its own business.
“We’re 27 and 28 now,” she said. “We’re able to make a living what we love doing.”
Weston said people can shop the warehouse by appointment, off of Facebook, or attend one of the four open house events per year.
“Our next open house is May 17, 18, and 19,” said Weston. “Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday.”
Kindra, a Farragut graduate, and Michael, from Shenandoah, said the Shenandoah warehouse also acts as a staging area, storage area and workshop.
“We utilize this space for many different things, and as kind of a home base,” she said. “We travel all over the country doing shows all throughout the year.”
The Westons said they decided to come back to Shenandoah, as their home base, because they missed the small-town, rural life.
“We tried living in the big city and we hated it,” Kindrea said. “This way we can still travel all over the world, but we can come home, here.”
