The Carter Center said Saturday that former President Jimmy Carter has entered home hospice care.
As 2024's campaign season begins, politicians are looking in the mirror and deciding whether they see an American president staring back. It was no different for Jimmy Carter.
As Jimmy Carter rests in hospice care at his home in Georgia, The Associated Press reached out to former political prisoners who credit him with saving their lives.
The gathering took place in the same one-story structure where the Carters lived before he was first elected to the Georgia Senate in 1962.
Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter has died. He was 100 years old and had spent more than a year in hospice care.
The first events reflect Carter’s climb up the political ladder, from the tiny town of Plains, Georgia, to decades on the global stage.
