A sports medicine expert says Kyle Busch’s death was “totally preventable,” arguing proper protocol was ignored. Dr. Jesse Morse wrote on X that Busch should have been admitted to the hospital and given IV antibiotics with monitoring. Morse said Busch kept racing despite an ongoing infection that later became pneumonia and called the situation “nothing short of extraordinary.” Busch died at 41 after a severe illness and was later described as having pneumonia that progressed into sepsis, with complications.
