It’s the most wonderful time of the year: College football bowl season.
The 42-game, 2022-23 slate kicks off Friday with two games: The Bahamas Bowl and the Cure Bowl.
Miami (Ohio) will face UAB from Nassau, Bahamas, in a game that will feature the nation’s leading rusher in DeWayne McBride, who ran for 1,713 yards in 11 games and 19 touchdowns. His 155.7 yards per game average was nearly 11 yards per game better than second-place rusher, Mohamed Ibrahim of Minnesota.
The Cure Bowl features two top-25 teams, according to the College Football Playoff rankings: No. 24 Troy and No. 25 Texas-San Antonio. Both are 11-2 on the season, coming out of Group 5 conferences.
Troy is on a 10-game winning streak, while UTSA is led by quarterback Frank Harris who is fourth in FBS in total offense, racking up 4,453 total yards in 12 games this year – that’s 342.5 yards per game.
FrontPageBets takes a look at the betting lines for both of these games, as well as picks the winner against the spread.
