Athletes don’t often get to play their sport twice in a calendar year. But, that was the case in 2025 for girls tennis athletes, and the Clarinda and Shenandoah teams were as good as anybody.
Clarinda head girls tennis coach Randy Pullen received the IGHSAU Golden Plaque of Distinction Wednesday, Oct. 1, prior to the Class 1A Individual State Tournament in Iowa City. Pullen received the award in his final season coaching the Cardinals.
