Clarinda sophomore Lily Weinreich won two matches Thursday, Feb. 5, at the Girls State Wrestling Championships to advance to the semifinals for the first time in her career.
Weinreich and junior teammate Kylar Downey have both secured their second straight state medal as Downey won two of three matches Thursday to advance in the consolation bracket at 125 pounds. Weinreich is a semifinalist at 135.
