Shenandoah baseball’s top pitcher over the past three seasons will continue to pitch in college.
Logan Twyman signed Thursday, April 2, during Shenandoah’s Signing Day ceremony with Southwestern Community College (SWCC) Baseball.
Twyman said continuing to pitch in college is something he’s wanted to do for a long time.

Shenandoah's Logan Twyman warms up for an inning on the mound during a home win last season.
“It’s what I have been working to, probably since sixth or seventh grade,” Twyman said. “It’s a really big deal to me.”
He called going to the Creston-based school a “great opportunity.”
“It just seemed like the right fit,” Twyman said. “It’s close to home and I liked it.”
Twyman struck out 42 hitters and finished with a 3.50 ERA over 38 innings facing some of the tougher opponents that Shenandoah saw last season. In 2024, Twyman’s finishing ERA was 2.88 over 48 2/3 innings with 41 strikeouts. He struck out 44 in 2023 with a 3.40 ERA in 35 innings.
“I have always had a knack for pitching,” Twyman said. “It’s really taken off over the past few years, and I have really been improving. I have always been pretty good at it.”
He joins head coach Mike Creason's program at SWCC and a team that entered the weekend with an 11-26 record.
Twyman could continue throwing to the same battery-mate he’s had during his Shenandoah career as Mustang catcher Tyler Babe also signed with SWCC Baseball on Thursday, one of three Mustang baseball players to sign collegiately. Twyman is hopeful that sets the stage for a big senior season this summer.

“I’m really excited for them too,” Twyman said on his teammates. “We all have really good opportunities to go to the next level. I’m hoping this summer we can have a state qualifying team. We have three college baseball players and a big senior class, and I hope we can do well.”
Twyman is undecided on a major.
