Curtis Jones didn't have any Division I or II scholarship offers out of high school. Cretin-Derham Hall coach Jerry Kline said he didn't know where else Jones would have gone had Indian Hills Community College not called.
In 24 games at Indian Hills Community College, Jones averaged 12.1 points, six rebounds and 5.5 assists. In the final 10 games of the season he rarely left the floor, playing 35.8 minutes per game. He embraced his year in Ottumwa, Iowa, just thankful to be playing in college.
